Welcome to Austin!
Now that you’re here, why not share some of this newfound Texas friendly with the folks back home?
Sure, you could go to your average drug store or memento shop and rustle up a handful of 25-cent postcards, scribble on the requisite “Wish you were ” and call it a day. Or you could distinguish yourself as a true Austinite (like all those other distinct Austinites), with some handcrafted, tongue-in-cheek photo souvenirs of your new life in the heart of Texas. After your masterpieces develop, turn ’em over, scribble on the requisite “Wish you were ,” lick a stamp, and show those folks back home how deeply you’ve inserted yourself into the local culture.
We sent out our crack team of performance artists/writers Neal Medlyn and Ada Calhoun to investigate some options. Might we suggest a few?
