There’s much more happening around town this weekend for those looking to spread holiday cheer. Liiikkkkkke:

The listening party for Business Deal’s Band Lotto 2, Sunday, Dec. 13, at Okay Mountain, which has been getting some praise of its own lately. The party also features sets from bands assembled for the album, like Wow, Aristoddler, Impanada, Secret Brother Lovers, Philmapsters, and Tropical Tantrum.

Also Sunday, a benefit for local cellist Mollie Fischer’s brother, who was in an accident and is now paralyzed from the waist down. Darling New Neighbors, Silky Shoemaker, and more join in to help at the Art Compound, 1414 Holly St.

Another benefit comes Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Austin Moose Lodge, for local lady-centric zine Lipstick Pages with DD Dagger and more.

But wait! Thursday at the Beauty Bar, Huey Lewis & the News cover band the New Drugs gets you all hot and sweaty under those Christmas sweaters.
