This final week of January sees shows accumulating like icicles on a bare, dead tree. Hopefully things will warm up and I can stop using bad poetry to describe rock shows.

Tomorrow night at Emo’s, a benefit show for Cutler, one of the club’s stagehands/bouncers who’s facing mounting medical bills from recent surgery. The inside and outside stages accommodate Pickled Punks, Summer of Blood, the Golden Boys, Blood Royale, and many more.

Another benefit goes down Saturday at Club 1808 for the Eastside’s house party space Rancho Relaxo, featuring local Wire-ish punks Reverse X-Rays and more.

Also on Saturday, a great local lineup from Business Deal Records. Gayle Gold, Preston Dukes Band, and Pataphysics play the back stage at Hole in the Wall, and here’s a typically awesome video from them.
