The MainLooking for a decadent slice of brotherly love? The Main (originally Emo’s) amplifies Philly, a loaded and diverse selection of the latest and greatest from the country’s fifth-most populous city. Melodic alt-folk duo Vita & the Woolf, led by Jen Pague’s haunting vocals, sound much larger and grandiose. Taking cues from Pearl Jam and Kings of Leon, it’s amps up for hard rocking sixpiece Kid Felix. Renowned DJ/producer Dilemma has worked with the likes of Meek Mill, Jazmine Sullivan, and Black Thought. Evenly eclectic and honest, trio Ground Up flips candid raps, diverse sampling, and skittering beat patterns. PnB Rock, arguably the hottest new artist in Philly, has the sound of a superstar, balancing trap and radio-ready jams. Funnyman Lil Dicky has become a “Professional Rapper,” fusing razor-sharp wit and balls-out gumption with technically proficient bars. A legendary innovator, DJ Jazzy Jeff came to mainstream prominence (with Will Smith) in the platinum duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince. Jeff Townes remains one of the great turntablists and producers in history.
