Truncate

Friday 23, the Loading Dock

Los Angeles-based techno artist Truncate headlines this show that’ll run late into the night, with support from techno-inclined locals such as Natch Nadjafi and RAMGON.

Shxwnfresh

Saturday 24, 13th Floor

Originally from Baton Rouge, Shxwnfresh has made Austin his home for several years. 2025 extended play 9481.W showcases his propensity to rap over mellow beats. He’s part of an opening cast for Tim Kile & the Vines of Love, who are celebrating the release of their new EP at this show.

The Rock & Roll Playhouse

Sunday 25, 3ten ACL Live

Though back-to-school commercials used to instill unhealthy doses of dread into me, a 2008 Target spot featuring a Jonas Brothers take on the Beatles’ “Hello, Goodbye” surprisingly still rings clear as day. Thanks to family-oriented touring concert series the Rock & Roll Playhouse, you too can introduce your kids to classics from the Fab Four without overt, capitalistic involvement attached. A live band covers tracks from the show’s spotlighted artist (the R&R Playhouse also performs tributes for David Bowie, Queen, and more) while immersive activities like rainbow streamers keep kids engaged. Arrive early: music starts at noon.
