Big Mic & Nnédịmmáyá

Friday 16, Flamingo Cantina

Nnédịmmáyá linked with College of Hip-Hop Knowledge co-founder/rapper “Big Mic” Pereida for their new single, “Villain.” The Jsun the Prophesor-produced track features spacey synths as Nnedi calls out global atrocities that occur because “power wants more power.” After singing throughout the track, she concludes with a sternly delivered call for action: “It’s time for eyes on Congo, eyes on Sudan… eyes on Palestine… we fight until we are all free. We fight until there is freedom for all.” This show acts as a single release party for “Villain,” with support from Meddah and StormShadow.
