Hot enough for you? Well, how about some ice-cold, 68-degree water up in that crag? Last year, it was hotter than Satan’s kitchen at the ACL Fest, and between sets, we went across the street to chill out at Barton Springs pool. Back in the day, the springs were frequented by Native Americans, but now it serves as sanctuary to an endangered salamander and thousands of sweaty Austinites. Be cool.

Hours: 5am-10pm. Admission: Adults $3; Juniors $2; Under 11 $1; 62 and over $1; free from 5-9am, 9-10pm. For information on possible pool closings due to rain, call the Barton Springs hotline at 867-3080. No food or drink. No smoking.
