Austin’s own prolific country crooner Charley Crockett tops the 40th annual SXSW setlist, alongside performances from Bell Bottom Country star Lainey Wilson, Mexican American roots rockers Los Lobos, and Aughts synth darling Passion Pit.
Fresh-faced Texas duo Hermanos Espinoza and Houston-based dirtgaze trio Shallowater have also joined the lineup. Switchfoot, a Christian rock band that found success in the early Aughts with songs like “Meant to Live” and “Dare You to Move,” returns to the stage, following a recent single with Buddy Guy.
Atia “INK” Boggs, who’s written for Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and more, will perform tracks from her debut project. Detroit-raised pop singer QUINN XCII and unofficial fourth Beastie Boy, Money Mark, will bring two generations of synth-based grooves to the festival lineup. The dance floors will stay packed thanks to performances from Berlin-based provocateur Miss Bashful, whose music is anything but; Brazilian funk-pop spinner MC Danny; and rappers Kairo Keyz and sosocamo.
The Downright Hotel on East 11th will be homebase for Music Conference events, activations, meetups, and more. New to the conference schedule, Rapper Vic Mensa will share stories from his multi-hyphenated career in Beyond the Track: Storytelling Across Music, Film & New Visual Frontiers, and up-and-coming indie rock duo Girl Tones will discuss Breaking a Band in 2026: The Girl Tones Blueprint.
Local internet sensation Pedal Steel Noah will play, as will hyperpop-influenced acts haha Laughing, Almost Heaven, and Alma Muñeca. Representatives from every darkened corner of Austin’s post-punk scene are set to perform, including J’cuuzi, Big Bill, Subpar Snatch, MUGGER, and Gus Baldwin. Funk-based, world-blending act CAZAYOUX will appear, as will rapper promqueen and hip-hop duo Geto Gala, songwriter Otis Wilkins, soulful pop quartet lluvii, and plenty more.
