Austin Reggae Fest
Auditorium Shores, April 17-19
$40 day, $115 weekend
The city’s longest-running reggae festival opens a new chapter this year with new owners at the helm for the first time since its founding in 1994. Founders Hugh Forrest and Pat Costigan have handed over the reggae reins to Reggae Rise Up, a production company that organizes festivals in four other states. Austin’s three-day version will continue to benefit the Central Texas Food Bank and will feature performances from Stephen Marley, the torchbearer of the Marley legacy; Original Koffee, a young Jamaican singer bringing new energy to the genre; and Iration, a California-based rock-fusion group known for their high-energy stage presence. Protoje, Zion Marley, Jesse Royal, and more round out a lineup that spans the full spectrum of reggae and reggae-influenced music.
Old Settler’s Music Festival

This family-friendly, camping-centered festival moves from the Old Settler’s Homestead in Dale to Driftwood in 2026 for three nights of laidback Americana, roots, and bluegrass music. This year’s lineup includes progressive bluegrass group Railroad Earth, California-based fivepiece the Brothers Comatose, and former Flatbellys singer Lindsay Lou. Local favorite Shinyribs brings funky blues fusion to the fest, and fellow Austinite Warren Hood, accompanied by singer-songwriter Emily Gimble, is also set to perform.
