Everyone’s favorite Sixth Street reggae/ska/hip hop venue, Flamingo Cantina, just announced they’ve opened a new onsite venture. Flamingo Hemp is a CBD bodega located in the front of the bar.
“After years of supporting Texas NORML, we’ve decided to share products that we love and believe are beneficial to our daily health,” wrote the Flamingo Hemp owners in an email.
The shop will offer various forms of hemp CBD oils and products, tobacco and other smoke shop products, plus a full-service coffee shop with coffee and espresso drinks. They also have 2000mg and 1200mg full spectrum plus hemp CBD oils, 500mg pain salve, 250mg THC-free broad spectrum hemp vapes, as well as THC-free, hemp oil CBD products like a 250mg broad spectrum vape.
Owner Angela Tharp adds, “I have also partnered with Keep Austin Baked to provide our CBD in their various edible offerings!”
Flamingo Hemp partnered with an organic farm in Colorado, and all of the “products are derived from 100% industrial (outdoor) grown, organic hemp.” The all natural, no additives, pesticide-free products come with a Certificate of Analysis: “These test results show they contain less than .3% THC.”
Speaking of THC, on Wednesday, March 13 at 12pm, Flamingo is hosting the Texas NORML Cannabis Kickoff, where a panel of speakers will discuss cannabis news. Check their social media for updates on many other SXSW events.
[Editor’s note: We corrected the THC % for the certified products.]This article appears in March 1 • 2019.
