    Texas Cowboys’ Christmas Ball

    This annual tradition originated in 1885 and was grandfathered in when the city passed a “no dancin’ in Anson” ordinance in 1933. Michael Martin Murphy has been in the musical lineup since 1994; this year, that lineup also includes Jody Nix. Cowboys aren’t allowed to wear their hats on the dance floor.
