    Out of Town

    Cavern Fall Fest

    Just a short jaunt from town, this family-friendly fest features a host of free activities, including a mini hay maze, live music, seasonal menu items, and a free AMAZEn’ Ranch Round-Up maze ticket to those in costume. On Halloween weekend, the Cavern Crew hosts trick or treating in the Discovery Village area, 3-5pm.

    Pumpkin Nights

    Venture along a half-mile walking path, where you’ll discover the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and more fantastical lands built using over 5,000 hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. The celebration continues with entertainment and games in the Village festival area.
    Sept. 22-Oct. 30. Mon., Wed. & Thu., 6-11pm; Fri.-Sun., 6-11:30pm. $14-26; kids under 3, free.

    Texas Pumpkin Fest

    Tons of fall family fun beyond the patch: a Ferris wheel, "Tent of Terror," games, train rides, axe-throwing, and lots more. Attractions are limited Tue.-Thu., but it's free for all on Tuesdays, only $5 Wed.-Thu., and on Wednesdays is free for military, veterans, and first responders.
    Oct. 8-30. Tue.-Sun., 10am-7pm. $5-10.
