Designer, longtime Austin Chronicle fashion columnist, and man about town Stephen MacMillan Moser passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 27, at the age of 61 after a decades-long fight with cancer.
From 2001 to 2013, the Chronicle published his “After a Fashion” column, which covered local design, the party scene around town, and his own thoughts about the fashion world as a whole and his place in it.
When Moser deemed your event worthy of attendance, you knew exactly when he arrived. From his over-the-top yet impeccably chosen accessories to a personality that filled a room, his presence always proved memorable.
His sister Margaret Moser, another beloved figure at the Chronicle, passed away in 2017 – on almost exactly the same date.
Peruse his back catalog of “After a Fashion” columns and let the Style Avatar’s wealth of knowledge and unique brand of dishy-ness wash over you.
