United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30)

Belém, Brazil
November 10-21, 2025
This year’s annual international summit on climate change, known as COP30, is taking place in Belém, Brazil, amid an increasingly chaotic global political environment. The U.S. has been a major contributor to the chaos. Despite withdrawing (again) from the Paris Agreement, the Trump Administration has been noncommittal about whether it will attend the COP. There is heightened focus on U.S. civil society participation, including local and state officials, business leaders, and nonprofits.
As in years past, Texas Impact will be participating in the COP as the only state-level, faith-based credentialed NGO observers and sharing video with the Chronicle from the conference.
Texas Impact is Texas’ oldest and largest interfaith advocacy network. Based in Austin with members in every corner of the state, Texas Impact equips and mobilizes Texans of faith and conscience to advocate for public policies that reflect widely shared, deeply held values of love and justice.
