    Austin Wildlife Rescue Trivia Night

Let’s say your dog finally catches that squirrel he’s been chasing in the backyard, and the little guy needs first aid. Or you find a baby bunny who seems too young to be alone, or a bird that’s just not birding. Did you know there are folks in town who can help with all these situations? Austin Wildlife Rescue can guide you through what to do next, and they’ll even take in some animals and rehabilitate them. They’re raising funds at this fun trivia night with a nature and wildlife theme, and might even bring an animal ambassador or two to meet. So study up and come thirsty, as $1 from each beer goes to the nonprofit. – Kat McNevins

The Crafty Adult: The Art of Pysanky

Hello fellow crafters. Do you, like me, just have a million pieces of whatever hanging around your abode because you are, and here I quote myself, “going to make something with that eventually”? You know why you still have a million pieces of whatever? Because we’re not making anything! Simplify, babes: Austin Public Library puts on the Crafty Adult every month where the supplies are provided and the activity pre-determined. This month they offer the cool art of Ukranian egg decoration, so named Pysanky after the Cyrillic пьсати, or pisati – to write. (After foolishly using Google translate, I’ve learned that in Serbian, it means piss. Hm.) Registration is limited to 20 seats, so RSVP now before your mountain of unused craft supplies consumes you. – James Scott

    The Traitors Watch Party

Ever the contrarian, I prefer The Traitors UK’s cast of normies versus the U.S.’s bench of backstabbing reality TV all-stars pulled from Survivor, Big Brother, and the Real Housewives franchise, but whichever flavor you choose of this reality competition show (there are about 20 international versions in rotation), you’re bound to get addicted. The biggest barrier to entry – who the heck has a Peacock subscription? Vacancy Brewing does! Enjoy new episodes with other faithful on Thursdays at 8pm. The nearness of beer could occasion a drinking game – maybe every time somebody wears a truly ridonk hat? That’ll get you plastered … and possibly drunk-buying a plane ticket to the scenic Scottish Highlands, the real star of the show. – Kimberley Jones

    Easter Bunny Photo Time

Maybe all parents know this the moment their child is born, or maybe you need me to inform you, but the freakin’ Easter Bunny’s at the mall right now. As we speak – or as you read, TBH – he’s sat on a wicker throne aside kiddos in their Sunday best getting photos snapped that elderly relatives will just love. The youth may enjoy the experience, too, as this bespectacled bun’s a handsome fellow with soft fur and a winsome smile. Stop by any time between mall open to close and capture the Easter spirit. Plus, the photo area’s right by the Cheesecake Factory – so lunch/dinner plans made, basically! – James Scott

    The Amazing Acro-Cats

In sixth grade, my science fair project was designed to determine once and for all whether cats can be trained. Countless hours of research determined that it was impossible. Now here come the Amazing Acro-Cats, disproving all that research – mostly. These kitties jump through literal hoops proving how trainable they are, even playing instruments together as the band Tuna and the Rock Cats, doing all kinds of cute tricks and feats of agility for our a-mews-ment. Until they don’t want to anymore and they just lay down. Kitties will be kitties, after all! Their purr-formance supports Rock Cats Rescue, which provides feline education, rescue services, and clicker training demos across the country. – Kat McNevins
