Not that you shouldn’t make every effort to get to Dell Hall to see the new production of Rossini’s Cinderella by Austin Lyric Opera, but if you don’t have a fairy godmother who can get you there on opening night, take comfort in the fact that you can hear the production on KMFA 89.5FM. Tune in Saturday, Nov. 8, 7pm, to catch Lauren Rico, host of Minnesota Opera’s broadcasts, and Dianne Donovan of KMFA’s Classically Austin anchoring the simulcast. And come the new year, you’ll be able to get a taste of the show on public television, too. Dutch Rall is capturing this Cinderella‘s 1930s Hollywood glamour for a segment of his Emmy-winning KLRU series iN coNtext.tv.

Cinderella runs Saturday, Nov. 8; Wednesday, Nov. 12; and Friday, Nov. 14, at 7:30pm; and Sunday, Nov. 16, 3pm, in Dell Hall at the Long Center, 701 W. Riverside. For more information, call 472-5992 or visit www.austinlyricopera.org.
