Kevin Morby’s languid croon rode the steady drive of Velvet Underground rhythms on last year’s excellent fourth LP City Music. As such, the L.A.-based singer-songwriter captured the charm of loneliness in a crowd, magical possibility in the ranging psych of a world in constant motion.
