Valley Girl

Valley Girl

2020, PG-13, 104 min. Directed by Rachel Goldenberg. Starring Jessica Rothe, Josh Whitehouse, Mae Whitman, Peyton List, Logan Paul.

Not reviewed at press time. Inexplicable musical remake of the 1983 teen comedy about rich kids in the San Fernando Valley (itself inspired by Romeo and Juliet, and Frank Zappa's song "Valley Girl"), with Jessica Rothe taking over from Deborah Foreman as mall brat Julie Richman, and Josh Whitehouse trying to fill Nicolas Cage's 3D glasses as Hollywood punk Randy.
