This story is set on Easter Island in 1682 and tells about a contest in which two native lads compete in the grueling Birdman ritual (which has something to do with swimming across the water while carrying some magic egg and not breaking it) to become head of the clan. It is directed by Kevin Reynolds and co-produced by Kevin Costner, the same Kevin team that made Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Fandango and is currently shooting the works while filming Waterworld.
