It’s county fair season with a lineup of concerts plus a rodeo, livestock show, carnival, barbecue cook-off, and lots of fried fair food.

Pack the lawn chairs or blanket for an evening in Louise Hays Park when Josh Murley and friends take the stage on the banks of the Guadalupe River.

The fun kicks off on Friday evening and goes through Saturday with a barbecue cook-off, fiddle contests, concerts, a car show, and food vendors.

Is there anything cuter than a goat decked out in a tiara and boa? The goats put on a fashion show at Ranch Park to benefit the FFA of Blanco and Hays counties along with games, food, drink, and music.

Most pickers and music lovers come for the great music and community in the historic schoolhouse, but some get there early to be sure to grab some of the homemade pies.
