Children (and grownups) can experience the magic of the performing arts at “Austin Symphony Orchestra’s Tuneful Tales," presented in June and July at the Central Library, and featuring a different ASO ensemble each Wednesday at 10am.
Kids ages 5-14 are welcome for science, nature, and STEM programs designed to connect youth to the natural world: through hands-on nature exploration and learning through problem-solving, outdoor play, and journal exercises. Aug. 2 includes a special Starry Night workshop, 7-10pm.
The city's fourth annual contest is open now for submissions from Austin students ages 10 to 18. In honor of Digital Inclusion Week (Oct. 2-6), young artists are asked to "picture a world where everyone is connected digitally." The top three entries win a monetary prize and will have their artwork displayed in city spaces.
Join Austin Public Library for a storytime complementing the exhibit "The Harmon and Harriet Kelley Collection of African American Art: Works on Paper."
