Central Texas Breastfeeding Coalition and SFC Farmers’ Market at Sunset Valley host a community-driven initiative to enhance the health and safety of mothers, babies, and families through educational efforts and advocacy in a warm and inclusive environment. At 10am, participants are welcome to engage in public breastfeeding, and eligible families can take advantage of the WIC Voucher Program, which provides $30 worth of additional WIC vouchers that can be exclusively spent on fresh fruits and vegetables. Through the Double Up Food Bucks Texas program, WIC vouchers will be matched $1 for $1, resulting in a total of $60 to spend on locally sourced produce. Plus, door prizes from generous sponsors, a performance by Andy Sprouts, and helpful family resources from Partners in Parenting.
Sat., Aug. 5, 9-11am. Free.
