Capitol Peace Concert
This concert celebrates the UN International Day of Peace by sending out a message from the heart of Texas to inspire and unite people through the medium of classical music. Performances include a bassoon solo by Oleksandr Syedin who will play the Ukrainian anthem; a chamber orchestra performance featuring Austin’s finest classical musicians; Oleksandra Pelitu singing a contemporary Ukrainian song, “Thank You Stranger” by Jamala; and children from Doss Elementary School singing "Peace Like a River" and "Hakuna Matata."Sat., Sept. 16, noon.
