    B. Iden Payne Awards: Citywide Cast Party

The B. Iden Payne Awards Council invites the theatre-makers and theatre-goers of Austin to gather outdoors (on the grounds of the lovely Umlauf Sculpture Garden, no less) for this citywide cast party. It'll be a socially distanced night of celebration, of survival, of mourning, and of reunion with the theatre-making community. Note: There will be an open bar, music, tasty noms, and scheming for an incredible year to come. [Ed. note: Because fuck you, 'ronas!] Also, if the pandemic's left you unable to scratch up a five-spot for admission, email [email protected] and maybe she can work a deal.

ICOSA's Window Dressing XI: Unruly Waters Insult the Shore

This latest of ICOSA's everchanging front-window displays of creative expression is a tableau that "explores ideas of blurred boundaries and futility of containment by depicting the grotesque as the embodiment of conflict between art and nature." As rendered by Austin's own Big Chicken & Baby Bird, it's sure to be a vivid if fleeting addition to the many visuals at Canopy.
Through May 17. Reception: Fri., May 14, 7-9pm
