Hi, How Are You Day w/ Cunningham Bird

In 1973, folk rock sweethearts Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks cut their duo debut: the appropriately titled Buckingham Nicks. The album flopped, but it caught the ear of Mick Fleetwood, who soon recruited the couple to freshen his then-floundering Fleetwood Mac. Despite the record’s springboard significance, it fell out of print and remains out of the mainstream today. That’s why unorthodox songsmith Madison Cunningham and whistling multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird paired for their own self-titled resurrection, Cunningham Bird. The October release follows the inspiring LP track-by-track in the duo’s warmly harmonized, alt-rock style – with a bowed twist.
