Second verse, exactly the same as the first. Director Lamberto Bava and producer Dario Argento had such a smash with their 1985 supernatural gorefest Demons that they lightly rewrote the script and created alleged sequel Demons 2 in less than a year. In the original, a movie audience is overrun by hellspawn summoned through a film premiere. For the sequel, Bava and Argento transferred the action to an apartment complex and made TV the medium of mayhem. Bigger, nastier, and bloodier with the welcome return of the great Bobby Rhodes as the coolest cat to ever use a shotgun against Satan’s minions. – Richard Whittaker
