ATX Short Film Showcase

Vin Diesel’s rise to fame started with a short film he made called “Multi-Facial,” which got seen by a little-known filmmaker named Steven Spielberg. Cut to, Diesel’s in Saving Private Ryan. Now, am I saying that the filmmakers being showcased inside Fruth Street’s finest are going to one day craft a major franchise around their ability to drive cars? I dunno. Maybe! These are Lone Star filmmakers presenting their short films – cinematic talents about to emerge. For $12 pre-sale or $15 at the door, you might be the first to see ’em crack their filmic eggshells. A wise man once said, “There’s nothing like that moment when the lights go down, the projector ignites, and we … believe.” – James Scott
