Trouble Puppet: Year of Fundraising Dangerously
Trouble Puppet presents a one-night-only fundraiser performance showcasing the work of first-time puppet-makers. Exploring elements of American Blood Song, Trouble Puppet's 2019 operetta about the tragic saga of the Donner Party, this production focuses on the experience of a young girl in a harrowing crossing of the Great Plains and the grim fate awaiting her wagon train in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The performance will be roughly 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A with artistic director Connor Hopkins and members of the workshop discussing their experience of puppetry.
