Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery

The game is afoot … again! In 2016, Austin Playhouse became one of the first companies to produce Ken Ludwig’s comedic adaption of The Hound of the Baskervilles after its debut in D.C. Now Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous creation stalks the boards again, with Ben Wolfe returning as amiable and often overlooked assistant Dr. Watson, and Aaron D. Alexander donning the deerstalker as the legendary consulting detective. However, Ludwig’s version is best known as a quick-change delight, with cast members Sarah Zeringue, Stephen Mercantel, and Bailey Ellis playing every other resident of Baskerville Hall and the haunted moors beyond. – Richard Whittaker
