No genre sews Sunday’s bill of disparate locals together, only an ethic: experimentation. Local synth junkies Thousand Foot Whale Claw channel the ocean’s depths and distant universes with their artful, full-frequency drone compositions. Their sound waves clash with the gritty psychedelic accord of veteran space rockers ST 37, powered by a psychic link between guitarist Joel Crutcher and bassist Scott Telles. Femme quartet Suspirians deliver garagey, noise-affected post punk on a forthcoming Super Secret Records debut. Little Rock post-rockers Mainland Divide shift from heavy to ambient on a dime. – Kevin Curtin
