The Hunger

The Hunger

1983, R, 97 min. Directed by Tony Scott. Starring Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, Susan Sarandon, Cliff DeYoung, Beth Ehlers, Dan Hedaya.

REVIEWED By Marjorie Baumgarten, Wed., Aug. 15, 2001

Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie play vampires here, although director Tony Scott keeps the movie's emphasis on stylish vamp – for instance, that bedroom sex romp between Deneuve and Sarandon.
