Rolling Stone Nabs Peso Pluma, Flo Milli, Faye Webster for SXSW Showcase

Peso Pluma, Flo Milli, Faye Webster, and other big names are headed to South by Southwest, courtesy of Rolling Stone. The magazine’s Future of Music showcase hosts shows at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, March 12-15.
Teezo Touchdown, Veeze, Lola Brooke, and Chase Shakur bring a hip-hop focus to Tuesday’s bill, while the Latin-tinged Wednesday lineup features Mexican singer Peso Pluma, Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko, folk songwriter Kevin Kaarl, Dominican rapper J Noa, and Puerto Rican alternative artist Pink Pablo. Flo Milli, Uncle Waffles, Black Sherif, and Flyana Boss round out Thursday’s bill, while Friday dips into alternative, country, hardcore, and blues courtesy of Faye Webster, Red Clay Strays, Scowl, Dylan Gossett, and Austin local Jackie Venson.
The star-studded Future of Music showcase launched last year, after Rolling Stone stakeholders Penske Media Corporation acquired a 50% stake in SXSW in 2021. (Editor’s note: SXSW co-founder and part-owner Nick Barbaro also co-founded and owns The Austin Chronicle.) Last week, Rolling Stone also announced a SXSW collaboration with Poo~Pourri toilet spray makers ~Pourri, touting live music and an inflatable 30-foot-tall poop.
The Future of Music showcases are open to all SXSW badges, as well as Music wristbands. Those without festival credentials can RSVP on a first come, first served basis.
