Were you part of the cast or crew of Slacker, or do you know where they've gone? Then Richard Linklater and his Detour Filmproduction team is looking for you, as they may owe you some money.
Yes, you read that right. It's the 30th anniversary of the release of the Austin original, and as part of that Linklater is organizing a disbursement of the profit sharing from the film. That means that everyone involved has a check coming. The only problem is that, 31 years after the original shoot, around a fifth of the people involved have seemingly disappeared.
"Of the 139 total cast and crew, we’re still missing 28," Linklater told the Chronicle. "Folks move around, their info changes, names change, we can’t even find them on Facebook."
