Help Find the Missing Slacker Cast and Crew

Austin, you can help connect the team with cash!

Do you know where the Traumatized Yacht Owner from Slacker is? Because Richard Linklater is looking for her (and 27 other cast and crew members).

Were you part of the cast or crew of Slacker, or do you know where they've gone? Then Richard Linklater and his Detour Filmproduction team is looking for you, as they may owe you some money.

Yes, you read that right. It's the 30th anniversary of the release of the Austin original, and as part of that Linklater is organizing a disbursement of the profit sharing from the film. That means that everyone involved has a check coming. The only problem is that, 31 years after the original shoot, around a fifth of the people involved have seemingly disappeared.

"Of the 139 total cast and crew, we’re still missing 28," Linklater told the Chronicle. "Folks move around, their info changes, names change, we can’t even find them on Facebook."

Here's the full list of names that they're looking for:

Abby Antweil (grip)
Aleister Barron (Peeping Kid)
Bob Boyd (Officer Bozzio)
Brian Locklin (Special thanks)
Carlos Guerra (Grip)
David Chan (Special thanks)
Ethan Dunn (Production assistant)

If you are one of those people, or know where they are or what happened to them, you're encouraged to reach out to Linklater's team via, or mail Screens editor Richard Whittaker and he'll pass the info along.
