A-List of Tech Partners With SXSW

If nothing else, Austin is a town of dreamers. But with a new partnership announced yesterday between the Austin Chamber of Commerce's Austin A-List and South by Southwest Interactive, a few more folks might get to see their dreams come true.

The Chamber of Commerce launched the A-List in 2011 to help tech startups gain credibility and exposure to investors. The last class of 2012 included 28 companies, and 2011 inducted 35, including such familiar names as Hurricane Party and TabbedOut. SXSW Interactive, meanwhile, continues its upward trajectory after two decades of innovation and growth. Put the two together, and you have a recipe for serious startup power.

As the chamber's Senior VP of Global Technology Strategies Susan Davenport put it last year: "From big data to diagnostics to gaming, Austin's entrepreneurial ecosystem has never been stronger."

The first 2013 class of the Austin A-List will be presented next month, so keep an eye out for the next couple dozen dreamers.
