War on Women's Health

Reproductive Rights Under Fire: From the defunding of reproductive and preventative health care to exploitation of the COVID-19 pandemic to disrupt abortion access and a trigger law engineered by extremists on the right that could render abortion illegal here should the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade, Texas has become ground zero for both the war on women’s health care and for the nationwide defense of women’s rights.

The Chronicle has been following the struggle for years, and what happens in Texas – both victories and defeats – often sets the pattern for the whole country.

Track the latest developments in the reproductive rights battle on this page, as well as @AustinChronicle and on Facebook.
