Friday is Senior Night for Texas Soccer, as they host Oklahoma State at 7pm in the regular season finale on Halloween. Say farewell to the senior class of Julie Arnold, Brooke Gilbert, Cierra Grubbs, Whitney Jaynes, Sharis Lachappelle, and Ava Vogel. Enjoy free trading cards and face-painting for kids, and costumes are encouraged... The Horns won two huge conference games on the road last week, beating Oklahoma 1-0, and Baylor 2-1, to move to 10-6-2 overall, and 4-3 in the Big 12. A win over the Cowboys would give the Horns a No. 3 seed in the conference tournament (Nov. 5-9 in Kansas City); any other result leaves them in fifth, facing a first-round matchup with nationally ranked Texas Tech... The St. Edward's men and women each swept another pair of doubleheaders last weekend. The Hilltopper men are now 12-2-1 (6-0 in the Heartland Conference); the women are 10-4 (6-0). Both teams end their regular seasons this weekend, with a pair of doubleheaders, Saturday against St. Mary's, and Monday against Texas A&M-Int'l: women at noon, men at 2:30pm both days.
European Champions League group play continues this Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 4 and 5; various games live on Fox Sports at 1:30pm each day.
