The world's biggest wrestling promotion sets up the ring and the cameras at the Erwin Center

WWE Smackdown

Brawlers and grapplers and luchadors, oh my! The world's biggest wrestling promotion sets up the ring and the cameras to tape another episode of Friday Night Smackdown for the SyFy channel. All eyes will be on Chris Jericho, the six-time WWE champ and frontman for classic metal band Fozzy. Word is that he'll be hanging up his wrestling boots and hitting the high notes when their new album, Sin and Bones, drops on Aug. 14. He'll be kicking off his album-signing tour at Waterloo Records, but he may have some unfinished business that night with new blood Dolph Ziggler. Jericho's been looking to stomp a mud hole in the man they call the arrogant one, but, like the T-shirt says, it's not showing off if you can back it up. Will Ziggler defeat the best there is, or will Jericho break out the lion tamer for one last time?

WWE Smackdown, Tue., Aug. 14, 7pm. Frank Erwin Center, 1701 Red River. www.wwe.com. Chris Jericho in-store, Waterloo Records, 600 N. Lamar, Aug. 14, 1pm.
