ACW gets a (Chris) Hero

Anarchy Championship Wrestling: From Innocence to Insanity 4!

Once again the Mohawk becomes the ACW arena as the local pro-wrestling promotion pulls together a 12-match card heavy with talented regional grapplers. For the hardcore local loyalists, the big match is promotion founder Darin Childs challenging "The Infamous" Shawn Vexx for his ACW heavyweight belt. Yet for the loyal fans of hardcore, it's all about the clash between two kings of the indies. Masada, a graduate of WWE superstar Shawn "The Heartbreak Kid" Michael's legendary Texas Wrestling Academy, never met a table, neon tube, or trash can he wouldn't put his opponent through. Chris Hero may be one-half of the prestigious Ring of Honor tag-team champions, but his reputation as a dangerous and high-impact singles wrestler has made him an antihero in the ring. Both men are veterans of the notoriously violent Combat Zone Wrestling, and both have survived some of the most brutal promotions in Japan. This pair may be too hardcore for Raw and too hard-hitting for Smackdown, but they're the beating, bloody heart that keeps the indie circuit alive. Sun., July 18, 5:15-9:30pm. Mohawk, 912 Red River. $15 front row, $10 general admission.
