World Cup Watch

Third Place and Championship Games, July 10-11

Saturday, 1:30pm – Third Place: Uruguay-Germany

Sunday, 1:30pm – Championship: Holland-Spain

Both games are on ABC and streaming live on MobileTV.

3-D: Galaxy Highland (N. I-35 & Middle Fisk­-ville) will show Sunday's final live in 3-D HD.

Alamo Lake Creek and Alamo South Lamar will show the games on the big screen; screenings are free, first come, first serve, but you can reserve a seat by buying a $5 food & drink voucher to go toward your tab during the match.

Austin Sports Tavern (north­west corner of I-35 & Oltorf) has 12 big-screen TVs and a smoking patio.

Black Sheep Lodge (2108 S. Lamar) is opening early for all matches, with breakfast specials daily and drink specials.

Buenos Aires Cafe (2414 S. First; 1201 E. Sixth) will show all games.

Cover 3 (2700 W. Anderson) will offer $2 Dos Equis drafts and $3 frozen margaritas during live games.

Crown & Anchor (2911 San Jacinto) will be opening for the early games and serving breakfast tacos. Happy hour starts when the doors open.

Cuatros (1004 W. 24th) will show the games and hosted the Austin Aztex watch parties for the three U.S. games.

Doc's is open for both games at both locations (1123 S. Congress; 5207 Brodie) with the full menu, plus drink specials.

DoubleDave's Pizzaworks (seven locations) will show all cup games; the Duval location has $8 pitchers for all games; all other locations offer 2-for-1 pizza rolls for all games; $1.50 pints for 1:30pm games.

Dog and Duck Pub (406 W. 17th) will show all the WC games.

El Arroyo (1624 W. Fifth) will be showing all the World Cup games.

El Mercado has new flat-screen TVs at all three locations (1302 S. First; 1702 Lavaca; 7414 Burnet Rd.) and drink specials each day.

Fadó (214 W. Fourth) will be open early for every match, with a special WC menu, an online fantasy game, and much more.

Jo's Downtown (242 W. Second) will be screening matches through the day.

Justine's Brasserie (4710 E. Fifth) has hosted the French delegation every day with croissants and a full bar.

The Lion & Rose (701 Capital of TX Hwy. S.) is open for every game – with 24 screens (including in the restrooms), a special breakfast menu, and half-price appetizers for afternoon games.

Longbranch Inn (1311 E. 11th) has World Cup madness: "drink specials, prizes and more!"

Mister Tramps (8565 Research) hosted the watch parties for the new Austin chapter of the American Outlaws.

Mohawk (912 Red River) will host WC happy hours for 1:30pm games on both Saturday and Sunday.

ND at 501 Studios (501 N. I-35) will host the final on a 30-foot HD projection screen, with surround sound, a full bar, hot dogs from Frank, and DJ Orion, who "wrecks [the party] during halftime and gets your booty shakin' as soon as the game ends."

Nomad (1213 Corona) is showing all World Cup matches on a large projection screen and two TVs, with breakfast options.

Opa! Coffee and Wine Bar (2050 S. Lamar) is showing all games live, with drink and food specials during matches.

Opal Divine's (3601 S. Congress; 700 W. Sixth; 12709 N. MoPac) will show the games at all three restaurants on the big-screen TVs.

Pluckers (2222 Rio Grande; 9070 Research; 3909 S. Lamar) will have $2 beer specials during all featured games! And of course, all the action on their many plasma TVs.

Red's Porch (3508 S. Lamar) hosts viewing parties with food and drink specials and a World Cup kids' menu.

Rio's Brazilian Cafe (408 N. Pleasant Valley) will be showing all the games on TVs inside and outside.

The Screaming Goat (900 W. 10th) is offering $1 beer during all WC games.

Third Base (1717 W. Sixth; 3107 S. I-35, Round Rock; Southpark Mead­ows) has daily food and drink specials, plus rebroadcasts of the day's games during happy hour.

Waterloo Ice House (1106 W. 38th) will show all games on big-screen TVs.

Weirdos (12408 N. MoPac) has 15 big flat-screens, $2 domestic pints, and half-price appetizers.

The 04 Lounge (3808 S. Congress) will show all matches live.

Workers Defense Project is holding a watch party for Sunday's championship game (5604 Manor Rd.), hosted by Third Coast and WDP members. Food and drinks will be provided; $5 suggested donation to support this worthy group.
