Newly announced SXSW Film 2004 events include a one-on-one panel between Richard Linklater and Jim Jarmusch, scheduled for Tuesday, March 16, 3:30-5pm. Also newly drafted to screen is Brian Dannelly’s dark high school comedy Saved, starring Macaulay Culkin, Mandy Moore, and Patrick Fugit; Harry Thomason’s documentary The Hunting of the President, on the people who created careers out of bringing down the Clinton presidency; and a Modern Mexican Cinema Retrospective in conjunction with the Austin Film Society. Passes for SXSW Film 2004 go on sale for $50 this Thursday, Feb. 26, exclusively at Waterloo Video, Sixth and Lamar. Get ’em while they’re hot (and still there).
