Newly announced SXSW Film 2004 events include a one-on-one panel between Richard Linklater and Jim Jarmusch, scheduled for Tuesday, March 16, 3:30-5pm. Also newly drafted to screen is Brian Dannelly’s dark high school comedy Saved, starring Macaulay Culkin, Mandy Moore, and Patrick Fugit; Harry Thomason’s documentary The Hunting of the President, on the people who created careers out of bringing down the Clinton presidency; and a Modern Mexican Cinema Retrospective in conjunction with the Austin Film Society. Passes for SXSW Film 2004 go on sale for $50 this Thursday, Feb. 26, exclusively at Waterloo Video, Sixth and Lamar. Get ’em while they’re hot (and still there). Film passes do not guarantee admission to SXSW theatres. For more information, see www.sxsw.com.
