Felicity: The Complete First Season

Buena Vista Home Entertainment ($59.98)

Ben or Noel? Noel or Ben? How could a curly-haired girl forever swaddled in alpaca choose? Luckily, Felicity Porter (Keri Russell) never really had to; this first season presents plenty of the hopscotching between partners who would define her next four years at the New York University. Of course, there was more to college life than love on this criminally underwatched but relentlessly addictive WB series (must be something in the caf's mystery meat); witness the killer semester-finals episode ("Finally") in which Noel wigs out on smart pills and half the show is conducted in loopy subtitles. The six-disc set is thin on extras -- limited to two commentary tracks (for the pilot and final episode of the season) from co-creators J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves, but no matter: less distraction from that delicious dilemma: Ben or Noel? Noel or Ben?
