Documentary Feature Special Screenings, Regional Premiere The brutal murder of African-American James Byrd Jr. by three white men in Jasper, Texas, appalled the nation. Was it an unfortunate aberration in an otherwise decent town? Two camera crews -- one white, one black -- interviewed Jasper residents to find out. The result is Two Towns of Jasper, a sobering study of race relations through the lens of a small East Texas town and the unfathomable pain endured by the families of Byrd and his assailants.
