Shogun: Total War (Electronic Arts, May 24) This real-time strategy is making waves for its Braveheart-meets-Akira Kurosawa approach to combat scenes.
Daikatana (Eidos, May 28) No preview would be complete without mentioning Ion Storm's perennially delayed first-person shooter.

Who Wants To Be a Millionaire (Jul 2) The phenomenally successful prime-time game show series makes a crossover. Now: Who wants to kick Regis in the teeth?
Perfect Dark (Nintendo, May 23) The first-person shooter Goldeneye gets an overhaul and a new plotline courtesy of Nintendo.
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber (Atlus, Aug 16) This popular strategy franchise gets a rebirth on Nintendo's rapidly aging hardware.
Space Channel 5 (Sega, Jun 7) Sega takes a shot at the rhythm-based dancing genre and even gets Michael Jackson to make a cameo appearance.
Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram (Activision, Jun 14) This oddly titled 3-D fighter also pits huge robots against each other, but doesn't resemble Tech Romancer at all.
Evolution 2 (Ubi Soft, Jul 2) Will the Dreamcast finally get a decent role-playing game? Will there be giant robots involved? We can't say.
Ecco the Dolphin (Sega, Jul 12) No giant robots here, sadly. But there should be plenty of good, clean, dolphin-adventuring fun.
