In San Antonio, the 22nd annual CineFestival continues from Thursday, June 17-Sunday, June 20. A special focus of this year's film festival is on the images of Latinas. Wednesday's opening-night film was SXSW favorite Luminarias. Also playing is SXSW documentary winner La Ciudad. CineFestival's closing film is Lourdes Portillo's fascinating Corpus: A Home Movie for Selena, in which the filmmaker speaks candidly with some of the crossover star's family members, fans, and doubters. It is a stirring document that raises deep questions about Latinas in our culture and the arts. Portillo will also participate in a panel titled Women on the Verge. Various programs are also geared to teens and children. For a complete schedule call 210/351-7787 or see
