Black Lives Matter Protest at the Garrett Foster Memorial

Black Lives Matter supporters, several of them exercising their 2nd Amendment right to open carry, gathered on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 1 at Fourth & Congress, site of the July 25 killing of 28-year-old protester Garrett Foster. They were met by a smaller contingent of armed counter-protesters. After the BLM group blocked the intersection, they were dispersed by APD and DPS officers, who deployed pepper spray and made several arrests.
