Austin's 2019 Pride Parade Lights Up Downtown

400,000 people were expected to attend the city's annual Pride Parade Saturday night, Aug. 10, honoring the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. Turning Congress Avenue and Fourth Street into a proverbial "Boogie Wonderland," participants (of which there were 152 – the largest in Austin Pride's history) included Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg from South Bend, Ind., our very own Qmmunity, AIDS Services of Austin, Sir Rat Leather and Gearwear, the Rainbow Patrol, and many, many more.
