Money for Running: Campaign Cash Highlights

After his debate flop, the other shoe dropped on Beto O'Rourke as his campaign reported a $3.6 million haul for the quarter – half of what he raised on the day he announced, and a weak enough total to drop him another tick on our Bet-o-Castr-o-Meter. However, he has $5.2 million in the bank, which is enough to start digging himself out of a hole. Julián Castro's numbers were lower than Beto's, but higher than expected, buoyed by his strong debate performance and the burst of attention that came with it. We're leaving him unchanged for now.
