Election Day Already?

HD 50 runoff election

Yes, believe it or not. This Tuesday, Jan. 28, is election day in the Texas House District 50 race to replace retired Rep. Mark Strama in this northeastern Travis County district. See our endorsements and voting info here. This is the first of six election dates in 2014.

March 4: Party primaries for federal, state, county, and judicial seats that will be on the November ballot. Early voting, Feb. 18-28.

May 10: Local elections in several smaller Travis County jurisdictions. Early voting, April 28-May 6.

May 27: Primary run-off, if required. Early voting, May 19-23.

Nov. 4: General election. Federal, state, county, and judicial seats, ACC and AISD trustees, plus the first City Council races under the new single-member districts, likely an ACC bond and a city transportation bond, and perhaps an AISD tax rollback election. Early voting, Oct. 20-31.

Dec. ??: Council and ISD run-offs. The city is still discussing election and early voting dates.
