Who's Joining the ACLU?

According to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's 2004 master list, 1,620 charities are participating in the national Combined Federal Campaign – from 1 Way Out of Pornography, to Zero to Three: National Center for Infants, Toddlers and Families. In addition, local CFCs, such as the one for Central Texas, can include additional charities on their lists.

In addition to the ACLU, 11 groups on the national list have announced they've joined the effort to protest the CFC's terrorist-watch-list policy:

  • Advocacy Institute

  • Amnesty International USA

  • Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund

  • Breast Cancer Action

  • Center for Constitutional Rights

  • Electronic Frontier Foundation

  • NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund

  • National Women's Law Center

  • National Partnership for Women and Families

  • People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals

  • Sierra Club

    Other members of the ACLU coalition, not currently on the CFC list, include:

  • Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law

  • National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy

  • OMB Watch

  • Pain Relief Network
